Hi, I'm Nathan Barry - a midlands-based landscape photographer who seeks simple and elegant compositions from all weather and conditions.  I've been photographing seriously for around 10 years.  I came to photography in life after diverting my energy away from music for a long time, learning many lessons along the way.

There's nothing special about my techniques or my kit; nor does there need to be - it's the scene, composition and end result that count.  I post-process photos using Lightroom, to bring out the elements inherent in the photo that I want to emphasise.  I aim to achieve a natural and authentic style; all images on this site come from one shot, not blended exposures or composites.  A very famous photographer once told me that once your eyes ask questions of an image, the trust in it is lost, and I think your eyes are very hard to deceive.  What he meant, about the integrity of an image, is something that I always keep in mind.
